Our team is looking to welcome a mature, motivated, mission-driven Monitoring, Evaluation,
and Learning
Expert to join Khushi Baby’s M&E Unit to develop MEL frameworks and design interventions for
Khushi Baby’s CHIP platform.
Responsibilities:
- Develop a monitoring, evaluation, and learning evaluation framework (defining and
organizing key performance indicators, methods of collection, frequency of data
collection, criteria for success, and mixed-methods pre-analysis plans for evaluating
success) for Khushi Baby’s activities falling under the Theory of Change
- Align MEL framework with Department of Health objectives under each health vertical
- Support policy, field, and development teams to ensure accurate and ongoing collection
and visualization of relevant MEL indicators in the CHIP application and dashboard
- Perform quantitative and qualitative analysis on key performance indicators according to
the MEL framework, highlighting areas of success, areas of improvement, progress to
date agaBuild capacity building within the organization to incorporate MEL framework
based reporting and Theory-of-Change focused work plan design

- Generate visualizations to explain analysis findings
- Draft technical and academic reports sharing findings and best practices for funders,
collaborators, and other partners
- Build capacity of the staff pertaining to data utilization, representation at various
levels
- Engage in evidence-based intervention design with policy, product, and field teams to
systematically address areas of improvement
- Engage and coordinate with stakeholders, including state and central government,
development partners, communities and other implementing partners
- Support in recruitment activities of the M&E Unit
Required Skills:
- Completion of an MPH or PHD degree from reputable institution, with relevant
coursework and experience in mixed-methods public health research, monitoring and
evaluation frameworks, biostatistical analysis, social and behavioral sciences, and
intervention design, report writing
- Minimum of five years of professional working experience in the role of an MEL analyst
- Proof of lead authorship in a publicly available M&E report of a public health
intervention
in the last two years
- Proficiency in R or Python
- Proficiency with observational, quasi-experimental, and time series analyses
You’ll stand out with
- Prior experience working with government officials and NHM data sets
- Publications with mixed-methods research
- Prior experience working with mHealth / digital health projects
- Excellence in English writing and communication
- Demonstrated work / experimentation in prompt-engineering for tools like ChatGPT
