Job Information
Our team is looking to welcome a mature, motivated, mission-driven Health Econometrician to join Khushi
Baby’s M&E to support maximization of data driven insights, specific to cost-effectiveness and
econometric modeling, from the CHIP platform.
Responsibilities:
- Develop pre-analysis plans for cost-effectiveness evaluation of interventions,
experimental and quasi-experimental studies of new interventions, econometric
modeling of interventions and programs, time series analysis of key performance
indicators across national health programs
- Work with field, policy, and development teams to ensure appropriate collection of key
performance indicators and visualization of econometric indicators on the CHIP
dashboard
- Perform data cleaning, completeness analysis, imputation, descriptive analysis, outlier
analysis according to the pre-analysis plan
- Conduct advanced modeling analyses required to identify important spatio-temporal
factors for health econometric outcomes
- Conduct advanced modeling analyses required to identify impact of interventions on
health behaviors and outcomes
- Engage in evidence-based intervention design with policy, product, and field teams to
systematically address areas of improvement
- Contribute towards academic manuscripts for government and peer-review highlighting
research findings
- Build capacity building within the organization to incorporate MEL framework based
reporting and Theory-of-Change focused work plan design
- Engage and coordinate with stakeholders, including state and central government,
development partners, communities and other implementing partners
- Support in recruitment activities of the M&E Unit
- Contribute to formulation of pre-analysis plans for epidemiological research and MEL
activities
- Identify relevant public and private data sets required for analysis
- Support policy, field, and development teams to design pipelines for collection and
visualization of relevant factors and outcomes in the CHIP application and dashboard
- Perform data cleaning, completeness analysis, imputation, descriptive analysis, outlier
analysis according to the pre-analysis plan
- Conduct advanced modeling analyses required to identify important spatio-temporal
factors which explain underlying disease distribution
- Conduct advanced modeling analyses required to identify impact of interventions on
health behaviors and outcomes
- Generate visualizations of the results
- Support product team in dashboard design
- Contribute towards academic manuscripts for government and peer-review highlighting
research findings
- Support in recruitment activities of the M&E Unit
Required Skills:
- Completion of PHD degree from reputable institution in the field of biostatistics, with
relevant coursework / experience in population science, demography, public health,
epidemiology, experimental design, and report writing
- Minimum of five years of professional working experience in the role of an
biostatistician
- Proof of published academic work within the last two years in the field of public health
- Proficiency in R or Python; geospatial analysis software (e.g. ArcGIS, QGIS)
- Proficiency with multivariate linear and logistic regression, time series analyses,
survival
analyses, principal component and factor analyses, quasi-experimental designs, RCT
trial designs (clustered, step-wedged, randomized multi-arm bandits), MCMC analysis
You’ll stand out with
- Prior experience working with government officials and NHM data sets
- Prior experience working with Big Data (multi-year studies, 10,000+ beneficiary panels)
- Prior experience working with mHealth / digital health projects
- Excellence in English writing and communication
- Demonstrated work / experimentation in prompt-engineering for tools like ChatGPT
