Our team is looking to welcome a Director of Development who can play an interdisciplinary role to advance our mission as we look to sustainably scale our technology for impact. The Director of Development will work directly with the CEO, COO, CSO, Impact Lead, and Principal Data Scientist in order to lead our fundraising vertical.Our expectation is that you will constantly adapt and innovate to bring further impact to those who need it the most. In this role, you will need to be resilient in the face of setbacks and challenges, especially during this pandemic. You will need to demonstrate exceptional communication skills and self initiative in order to make the most of this opportunity. Responsibilities Include:
  • Develop new and strengthen existing relationships with senior program officers across Khushi Baby’s donor base from family foundations, iNGOs, and CSRs
  • Curate new grant opportunities
  • Create proposals, presentations, and other materials for raising funds
  • Track, manage and report funding utilization and impact
  • Communicate effectively to donors about the objectives and activities of the organisation
  • Prepare budget proposals for State Program Implementation Plans and devise strategies to allocate government funds to projects
  • Represent Khushi Baby in panels, conferences, and other speaking engagements
Background, Skills & Experience
  • Demonstrated proficiency in English speaking and writing (donor-facing)
  • Prior fundraising experience (2+ years)
  • Prior experience working in the public health and/or development sector preferred
  • Able to travel to meet with partnership leads as required
  • Excellent networking, negotiating and relationship building skills
  • Self driven, highly motivated, energetic and a good team player
  • Strong preference for those who have graduated from Tier-1 universities with masters level training in humanities, social sciences, and/or development and with work experience in Tier-1 NGOs or CSR divisions
